The innovations package of the BMW TwinPower Turbo 4- and 6-cylinder petrol engines is one of the key elements of the BMW EfficientDynamics strategy. A TwinScroll turbocharger with Valvetronic, double-VANOS and High Precision Injection mean lower fuel consumption and an increase in dynamics.

The BMW TwinPower Turbo 4-cylinder petrol engine in the BMW 320i has a powerful 135 kW, providing maximum torque of 270 Nm. This enables the vehicle to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 7.9 seconds and to reach a top speed of 230 km/h. Average fuel consumption is a mere 6.6 litres per 100 km with CO2 emissions of 153 g/km. The BMW 328i powertrain provides 350 Nm torque at just 1250 rpm. Thanks to 180 kW, the vehicle accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 6.1 seconds and boasts a maximum speed of 250 km/h. Average fuel consumption is 6.7 litres per 100 km with CO2 emissions of 156 g/km.

BMW TwinPower Turbo diesel engines have a lightweight aluminium construction and are fitted with a maintenance-free particle filter. Common rail direct injection is combined with fully variable performance control and innovative turbocharger technology for enhanced efficiency and dynamics.

The result is a new dimension in driving pleasure and efficiency. The power unit in the BMW 320d is even more dynamic, with its 2-litre engine generating an impressive 140 kW. With up to 400 Nm torque, it accelerates the vehicle from a standing start to 100 km/h in 7.8 seconds and can reach a speed of up to 230 km/h. Fuel consumption is an efficient 4.6 litres per 100 km, with CO2 emission of 120 g/km.
